Thursday, March 25, 2010 KL Trip Day 2 This was the ONLY day we woke up in time for the buffet breakfast. ![]() This was second helping kayyy, I eat alot on holidays -.- D and I got into a squabble while finishing up our breakfast coz I simply got jealous.GRRR. After that, we went to find my daily contacts! Did you know that it's so bloody hard to find dailies at Malaysia?? Some claimed that you have to place an advance order! WTF, Berjaya Times didn't have it in their optical shops except for one but I finally found some at Sungei Wang. I wanted to try another brand of contacts and got Focus Dailies instead of my usual Bausch N Lomb. RM50 for 15 pairs, quite cheap I thought. Oh, while walking to Sungei Wang, D randomly bought some snacks from a lorry pushcart. And it became like, our routine to get some every morning. They had samosas and sweet icy cold soyabean milk. And....banana dumplings/balls/fritters? I don't know what the heck it's called but it's gooooooood. He became best friends with D. Because we gave him so much revenue. Really. So after getting my contacts, we went back to Berjaya Times and booked midnight tickets to Alice in Wonderland 3D! Loves! I was SO looking forward to catching it ever since it premiered in Singapore! But D already promised we'll watch it at KL so yesss! Then we went back to the hotel and napped, woke up in the evening, went swimming at the hotel's pool! Did some laps.....then we played table tennis a little, I hugged D and my shirt plastered itself to my chest coz it was still wet? And it created a butterfly pattern that was so embarassing! We went out for dinner. Had Sushi King! OMG I LIKE. Comparable to Sakae Sushi~ We are officially hooked on sushi. He only eats one thing - Tuna Gunkanmaki. Oh and his Piri Piri Chicken Set. Haha. Me? I eat everythingggggg! So then after eating, which took a LONGG time if you know me, we went bowling!! 2 Games and I did quite well! More than 100 for every game! Of course D beat me, he's more of an athlete than I am.Then we went to drink coffee at Old Town while waiting for the movie. I got Hazelnut Frap which was nice at first, but kinda scratched my throat after awhile so I drank only half. D got mocha iced coffee and it was good and stronggg. I loved his drink. ![]() And we watched Aliceeeeeeeee which was awesomeeeeeee. 3D! Doesn't get any better than that. "FAT BOYS!" HAHAHAHAA. After the day's excitement, we went to sleep and totally knocked out.

OHMYGOODNESS OMEEGEEE. *does happy dance* Me gots meself loveeee from the boy. ![]() Ive never received flower bouquets before...Stems yes, but not a proper bouquet. Until this relationship. D's first bouquet to me was 5 fake roses within heart printed paper and Baby Taz was holding them! Now a huge-ass REAL sunflower~ I LIKE! Cheeky boy asked to print some pictures that I like at the Instant Photos Booth at Fujifilm and I kinda figured he wanted to make a framed picture collage? I would've been touched with just a simple collage, but to make it into a puzzle?! The lengths you go D, I'm truly astounded and humbled... You bet I will hang one at work and one at home! I'm proud of you, I wanna show you off! :D 8th Bear!! - Smart Heart BearShe approaches everything with a sense of wonder and delight. She is continually learning and encourages others to do the same. She thinks a curious, open mind is so important that she shows it with her tummy symbol - a teacher's apple! HE GOT ME A TEACHER'S PET BEAR. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Happy 6th Month-sary baby...... Sunday, March 21, 2010 KL Trip: Day One Part 2 Continued from A&W.....With bulging stomaches (stomachs?) we walked to a random hair salon to get our hair cut/fixed. Only that Kimarie Academy isn't a hair salon. It was a school and their students will cut our hair for us for RM7. We took the plunge but it wasn't a huge deal though, they didn't do anything drastic to our hair. Experience started with them shampoo-ing our hair and getting a light massage. (AWESOME very relaxing) and then after rinsing, my stylist basically gave me a layered trim and blow-dried my hair, put some gel and voila! Nothing much, but I would've gladly paid RM7 just for the massage :) D's hair didn't get much action either, just a basic trim too... Then we walked to Petaling Street and had our second fight that lasted for 20 seconds. We made up quick and on to the shopping! I got a whole lot of stuff for myself and my family..D got himself shades but he left most of the shopping to me, helping me to negotiate prices. I love that boy, really I do. Walking back to our hotel, we stopped for a quick foot massage at a random establishment. There was a row of these massage centres at Chinatown and we went to one called Happy Feet i think? I can't recall, sorry...but I do remember it was a very 'happy' name. Got a 30min foot massage at RM25 each. I specifically asked for a very light massage coz it was my first time and I didn't want it to hurt.... IT DIDN'T HURT, IT WAS TICKLISH!! I pinched D alot and bit his shoulder once. RAWR. ![]() BLUFF WAN! MUKA TAK PERLU HAHA. Before going to our room, we got a dozen of Krispy Kremes to snack on....Found on Level 1, new addition to Berjaya Times Square Shopping Centre. ![]() ![]() Decadence....I adore the original glazed ones...I got three of em :) Actually there isn't anything really special about Krispy Kremes...the icing is quite normal really. It's the dough that made the difference...it was a combination of awesome soft dough and plain icing. Even when we froze them for another day, the dough stayed soft. So after today's excitement, no wonder D snored that loud. Lol no laa.....tsk. Stay tuned for Day 2.

Saturday, March 20, 2010 Love from KL: Day One Part 1 When on holiday, comfort precedes everything else :)BACK FROM KL! And what can I say, it was a dream come true. I enjoyed every minute of it and then some. Even the mini quarrels :P Entry will be broken up into per day as always, just like my previous Genting-KL Trip with my friend. Shopping stuff will be in a separate post. The trip was literally a blur and it ended so fast it's almost unfair! I'll try recalling what happened each day, hopefully I get it right. So departure was actually on the 16th, but I met up with D at 8pm on the 15th instead as he was worried I won't wake up on time for departure at 730am the next day. Since pick-up point was at Golden Mile, we went around looking for a room in the area and ended up somewhere in Bugis instead. Dinner was PizzaHut from the $19.90 for 2 regular pizzas promotion.Brought dinner up to the room, ate and slept at 1am to have an early start the next morning. Woke up early at 6am and we lugged our heavy alpinist bags over to Golden Mile. We were early and the bus wasn't even there yet -.- Sat around and got an eyesore from this ang-moh girl who was lying down while wearing a mini skirt. Eyesore for me, Eyecandy for D. Grr. At 8am, we left Golden Mile towards Tuas Checkpoint. Stopped over at Yong Peng for lunch....first meal at Malaysia for us was...Nasi Padang, Mee Padang for D. HAHA. Oh btw our bus was awesome.. We upgraded to Executive Coach whereby one row has 3 seats and each seat has it's own TV and Games and listing of Chinese or English Movies. Seats were comfortable with lots of leg space...TV itself looks a little worn but it works fine.We got a single deck bus when going there, but the bus returning to Singapore was a double decker and the seats were much more luxurious and the design was modern complete with a nicer looking TV dock. Then all the way to KL, I brought out my pink Nintendo DS and played Pokemon Platinum, much to D's annoyance coz then we are pretty much doing our own stuff HAHA. And I managed to watch 2 and a half movies - Atlantis, The Tigger Movie and the start of Raising Helen which I grew bored of after a few minutes HAHAHAHA. Yes, I'm a cartoon buff. Reached KL at 2pm and went to check in. Had our first fight for 15 secs at the money changer. Then we went to our rooms guided by a staff named Alee. Rested, bathed and changed into fresh clothes. Went out and ate A&W!! Drool-worthy Waffles, Rootbeer Floats and Curly Fries! Fried Chicken and Sesame Bites. Long live A&W.With that, look out for Part 2 coz this entry is kinda long....

Sunday, March 14, 2010 Im totally psyched! Tomorrow will be departure date FINALLY, and I hope I have a really good time there....though where we're going isn't far. Time to de-stress and shop my heart out, so we'll come back fully rejuvenated and I'll be ready to take on the rest of the semester. Today I went shopping with my little sister. And it's one of the most rewarding shopping trips EVERRR. Coz I bought stuff that I can't try on at the shop, and hope it fits? And when I came home and tried them on, they looked gorgeoussssss. Got 2 off-the-shoulder tops, one in grey and one in black.. Shorts in a silky brown colour. A black spag top that I was sure wouldn't fit me but thankfully it did :) My first primer - Urban Decay Primer Potion. Wanted to get Too-Faced Shadow Insurance actually, but it was OOS. A couple of pretty earrings, 3 for $5... And I got the Essence of Beauty Duo Brush Set from Magical Tannsu at $20...Met her at Dhoby Ghaut. Coz I realise I can't travel without my makeup tools :( OH OH, and I got 2 zipped pouches, one for me and one for the bf coz we wanna put our money in there when we travel..And I got the prettiest silver elastic headband. Can't wait to wear them out! Labels: beauty, online buys, shopping, travels

Monday, March 8, 2010 ![]() Bowl of Love!!! I'm just really proud of this that I wanna show the whole world! Psshhtt no, I didn't cook it. The spaghetti was a one-off thing that probably caught me lucky. I'm just really touched and happy and awesomely humbled coz bf's mum told him to pass this to me to eat....She reminds me of my lovely mummy.. And it's yumssss, dry version of Mee Siam. Have I ever told you that I LURVEE Mee Siam? Like, I ate it every single day in primary school and that's why I'm so fat. And then when I got to Secondary School, the Malay Store Auntie sold the most awesomest Spicy Chicken Curry that I forgot about the Mee Siam Auntie. I wonder where she is now.....and if she could cook for me one last time. HAHA. And like, I've been harbouring thoughts of going back to my Secondary School just to tapao food to work? Darn good food...

Im happy da be dee da be daaaaa~ coz it's the last week before the one week holidaysss. Ok, so yesterday what happened? Bf and I went to these places to get equipped for the upcoming trip. Stuff are all courtesy of the bf. Btw, anyone guessed where we're going yet? - Mustafa Centre Got Optrex ($4.90) coz my eyes seem to get itchy quite frequently nowadays. And its not a gradual thing, its a sudden itch thing. Dunno why...Palmolive Thermal Spa Massage Shower Gel ($2.95 i think?) I got rashes from my Lux Shower Cream and so I switched to using just soap. But I want something that exfoliates...so let's try this shall we? Bf has been using this and he says it's good. Hopefully I don't break out in rashes again. And it's blueee! Da be dee da be daaaa ok stop. Now that we use the same facial cleanser, next stop is same shower gel. What next? Tsktsk. Tiny samples on the right are from De Enchant, a Korean all-natural skincare and cosmetics line at Iluma Bugis. Bf bought their 3-step skincare regime that amounted to about $110 and the kind lady gave him a sachet of toner for oily skin, while she gave me sample bottles of a toner, a moisturizer and a night cream for dry skin. She just looked at our faces and knew what kind of skin we have. She's good. She was really patient and thorough. Tried almost every display product on our hands for our opinions. She wasn't pushy, and the skincare line smells awesome! Absolutely no chemicals in their ingredients, and we saw results there and then when she scrubbed dirt from bf's hands. - Bugis Junction Bf was looking for a travel-sized bath gel, and we scoured Watson's and Guardian but to no avail. Even Mustafa didn't have it, oh the irony. We got the one made of Japanese Blossoms (Sakura). He's taking the shower gel and I'm taking the body lotion plus the bath lily. Awesome smell, so girly and vacation-y. Oh, it's $14.90. SASAAAAA! My next favourite place to go after Sephora.Anyhoo...since you know my Sigma brushes got stolen, how am I to travel without my tools! And I'm almost always broke right, so I couldn't order a new one in time for the trip..so I made do with what I have and then some. Tiny jars ($1.65) came in a pack of two, will use one to put the Oceana pigment sample I got from a colleague who ordered from Alimapure. Spray bottle ($1.05) for my brush cleanser. Cosmetic wedges ($1.90) for liquid foundation - first time I'm using a sponge, the one thing I really miss from my stolen kit is my foundation brush :'( Eyebrow razors ($2.95) coz I'm only left with one unblunt wan HAHA. And a random blotting paper from Cyber Colours that I kinda regret now? ![]() A07 Eye Shadow Brush Medium from Makeup Shop ($13) Arezia Angled Eye Brush ($3) Silkygirl Funky Eyelights in 09 Lime Green ($8.90) Now let me explain. I absolutely didn't need the eyeliner. But I wanted an eyebrow trim and the SA said I will have to get a COSMETIC ITEM, not just accessories, and they were out of the brow kit I so wanted, so I got this instead. My eyebrows are wicked neat now woohoo! - Beach Road Bf got his 50L travel backpack at the Army Market for $65..and we ate yummy chicken rice heheheh. Before going home he brought me to eat Shin Tokyo at Yew Tee again. It's fast becoming our hangout though the sushi belt is literally empty always.

Monday, March 1, 2010 Yesterday was the Natas Travel Fair 2010! And the Watsons Sale! So me and bf made our way down to Expo....took a very long bus ride from AMK :( Had Long John's breakfast along the way - gotta love those thick slices of buttered bread. Girls like it thick ya? HAHA. Good thing we went early, like Natas started at 10am and we stepped in at 11....coz when we ultimately left Natas, it was like 3pm and there was a HUGE-ASS line of people waiting to buy their tickets. It was $4/pax to enter.... You guys are probably going, WHAT! U CAME AT 11 AND ONLY LEFT AT 3? 4 HOURS AT A TRAVEL FAIR, ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Well....yea....but to be fair, we entered twice coz we left to sit down and sort through the thousands of leaflets waved in front of our faces by travel agents. Like we planned to go KL but having entered the hall, these awesome destinations were blinking their doll-eyes at us that we even considered going to an all-inclusive trip to Redang, Trengganu. Bf liked the proposal alot, we would probably consider it for our year-end trip... We had pamphlets to Japan, Korea, Bali, Batam, Malacca, Hong Kong, hell even Tunisia! Coz everyone kept offering and we kept taking. In the end, all went into the rubbish bin except for the few that caught our eye... Watson's Sale was a let-down....probably coz I went on the last day of the sale? The hall was pretty much bare and stuff sold there didn't appeal much to me...was hoping they had more brands of skincare and cosmetics. Ohwellies. Oh and can I just say, Orange Julius's orange juice is AWEESOME? Ok that's all. Pictures. Settled on Five Stars....the tour agent Ling was very friendly and D was obnoxious, kept teasing her until she got all exasperated.Imagine, he asked her whether First World Hotel got ghost. And whether FW got toilet or not. -.- $11+, $11.70 i think?Only makeup item I got...Majolica Majorca Blush in OR322. Orangey shade, I've never had an orange blush and I wanna try! Pretty makeup bags were going for $1 each. Material kinda flimsy...but whaddeheck it's a buck! And my makeup bag from Daiso got stolen at JB :($1.90 Bello Facial Cleansing Wipes, just to try out since I've heard of girls using and loving it... ![]() $17.70 Neutrogena Fine Fairness Toner Not from Watson's but from Guardian...thank you D! Exactly why Watson's Sale was a let-down...Hoped to get a toner but didn't see my comfort brands... Says it will enhance my radiance and replenish moisture. It better!! :D Exactly why I need a new bottle of toner. I couldn't find this exact Garnier toner that I liked from Guardian AMK...so I switched to Neutrogena since it's another one of my comfort brands....let's see what happens.Labels: shopping |
