    NYX HAUL FROM CHERRY CULTURE.COM

Ordered on the 16th, Shipped on the 19th, Received on the 30th.
    I think that's pretty reasonable.
Package came in a small box...Mine didn't have the wordings "CHERRY CULTURE" all around the box like I thought it would have. Funny thing is, the shipping invoice estimated the box's value to be USD16. GRR I paid 7 times more than that! Lol. And the contents of the box was stated to be "Others : Art Supplies" HAHA. MAKEUP IS CONSIDERED ART SUPPLIES. And the box didn't have a shopping invoice inside...ohwell, everything came, all 19 items so I'm happy. And all in pristine condition! Thank god. Woooohoo.

Most items were bubble-wrapped and all were hidden in layers of paper.
Anyway, on to the items I got....

    - Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencils in Milk and Pots N Pans
Am not disappointed, youtubers were right! Very creamy and good for eyeshadow base.
    - Eyeshadow Brush #2
Soft bristles and doesn't look cheapo at all, nice weight for the handle, good grip. I'm gonna love this.
    - Doll Eye Mascara: Long Lash-Black
Have not used this yet, looking forward to. Came in a very prettily designed box :)

    - Loose Powder in California Tan
Phew! Took a bet with this, luckily it matches my skin colour perfectly.
    - Sharpener
Jumbo eyeshadow pencils are quite hard to sharpen, but not if you have this! :D

(Picture taken with flash, sorry low quality)

    - Top: Powder Blush in Spice
Quite a dark colour in the pan and when I swatched it. But after blending it out, it's a really pretty blush, leaning more to maroon than red. Shimmery.
    - From left to right middle: Single Eyeshadows in Black(matte), Dune(metallic), Highlight(matte) -From left to right bottom: Single Eyeshadows in Champagne(metallic), Eggplant(metallic)
Oooooohhhhh pretty!! Highly pigmented, and so very cute! They come in a square pan that is not much larger than a 50cents coin. Blends out really well too. I'm definitely ordering more of these just coz I love their sizes!

    - From left to right: Black Label Series in Mahogani, Round Lipsticks in Thalia, Rea, Circe, MegaShine Lipgloss in Perfect Red, Smokey Look, Round Lipgloss in Whipped
I don't wear red lipsticks, Mahogani and Perfect Red were ordered by my colleague.
The round lipsticks are very creamy but staying power not too good. No awkward smell, glides on smoothly. My current favourite is Rea! I'm wearing it right now just coz I feel like it :P It's slightly darker than Circe. Circe is my exact skin colour, so i would have to layer on lipgloss coz it makes me look a little too ashy. Thalia will never go wrong, I think it suits every skin tone. The round lipsticks are wonderfulllll, definitely gonna expand my collection of em.

I lovveeee my Smokey Look. It smells like cherry sorbet! Am gonna get more of these. The Whipped lipgloss smells a little funky, like lemon detergent...but really it's not that bad...

--> Mahogani (colleague's), Thalia, Circe, Rea. *gushes*

Can't wait for my next pay to come!
You know I'll be ordering again :)

I'm on cloud 9 right now, and for a very good reason.
Came to the bf yesterday at AMK for a movie... He said I could choose the movie to watch out of these three: Raging Phoenix, Ninja Assassin and A Christmas Carol.

He so wanted to see Raging Phoenix coz the trailer was awesome, this from the producers of Ong Bak. I wasnt really keen on it coz I always cringe when I watch thai fighting movies....but being the wonderful gf I was, I agreed on whatever he decided. He asked why I didn't choose Ninja Assassin and I was like, "The poster looks pretty much the same like Raging Phoenix what? Something I would expect from like a Thai fighting movie."

    BUT THEN HE SAID!
"Eh, but it's Rain leh. You said you like him?"

So I turned back to the poster. You can't blame me, Rain was posing with his back to the camera! And for the movie he had shoulder-length hair. I wouldn't have recognised him even if I wanted to! But one thing I did recognise was his holy body, the one that made me fall insanely in love with him and I was sold.

We smuggled food and ate in the cinema haha. Bf said his sister watched the show, and said Rain's acting wasn't very good, so I didn't expect much out of the movie.
    .
    .
    .
BUT OMG, the movie was awesome. I cringed, I covered my face with my jacket, I turned my head into bf's shoulder, I even squeezed out a tear or two. The movie was GORY WITH A CAPITAL G. Blood squirting like nobody's business, grotesque fatal injuries, hanging limbs, really deadly weapons. Fighting movies usually don't have a clear plot and storyline...But this one managed to make the story flow very nicely with it's direct, clear cut, no frills storyline. And the producers even managed to squeeze in droplets of romance in it.

I'm raving like mad for this movie, do watch coz it's really worth your $10. But ur forewarned, it's plenty gory.

After the movie, we sat down under his block and planned for our March Holidays. But not before he took a power nap first coz he met me after his night shift and hasnt had his rest yet.

So what did I do? I camwhored, duh. HAHA.

So it's settled, we'll be going if god permits, to Phuket and Bangkok for 6D5N...Just have to apply for our leave and book our flight tickets and rooms now. 4 more months to go, I can't wait!

    ANDDDDDDDDD

My Cherry Culture order arrived today!!! At 1030am. My little sister signed the package for me coz like the lazy pig I am, I was still sleeping lol. So next post will be on my NYX HAUL!!!

I wanted to go running tonight but the bf didnt allow me to.
But I went anyways with my sister coz I'm making it a routine and now he's mad at me.

    *cry*

He said it was a test to see if I listen to him once in a while.
I'm keeping myself toned and healthy for him, so whyyyyyy!
    Sigh.

Anyways, Happy Hari Raya Aidiladha to all Muslims.
    Mmmm--beekkkkkk! Hehe.

I caved in and shopped summore today :(

GAHHHHH I hate myself for this.

    1. Garnier 'Aqua Defense' Refreshing Toner. green bottle $7.90
I have combi skin; dry cheeks but slightly oily T-zone. Realised my skin is getting drier of late, ever since I implemented my Guardian Makeup Remover Wipes. I used to be one of those who heck cares about Makeup Removers (oil or gel or cream or whatever it comes in now) and just wash my makeup off with my normal cleanser. Now that I'm taking a step forward to ensure my face is cleaner, I also need a toner to dab on before sleeping so as to keep my skin hydrated. And this smells of apples!Yummy! Lol. Think my skincare regime is complete now :)

    2. Montagne Jeunesse Face Tonic - Dead Sea Anti-Stress $1.95
HELLO! MEOW!! $1.95 only!! Pronounced Mon-Tan Jur-ness. And I've read up about these on youtube, reviews and stuff. The mask uses natural ingredients to pump minerals into your skin, and at the same time "promotes a deep sensation of calm as mineral rich ingredients nourish body and soul."

Lol that's what it says on the back of the pack.
Can't wait to try it and if it's good, I wouldn't mind picking up a few more of these coz it's so cheap! These comes in mud packs as well, and I've heard raves on it's chocolate mud pack. Apparently smells and looks like decadence so chocoholics beware lol.

    3. Biore Black Pore Pack $4.95
Gotta get rid of the blackheads! Been some time since I went to war on my sesame field so i just grabbed a pack for old times' sake. Lol.

    4. T3 Pimple Gel $4.80
Running out of my OXY Cover, thought I'll give this a try and see if it works as well, if not even better? Could save a few bucks with this coz it is cheaper than OXY by $3 i think.

    5. Hazeline Snow Moisturizer $3.45
Remember my alcohol-loaded Clean and Clear moisturizer? Got this to replace that. Ohmygod, this goes wayy back. Hazeline Snow is one of those products that has passed the test of time, coz i clearly remember smelling this on my late grandmother. Of course, you can't go wrong with this fuss-free moisturizer. Even the packaging is simple - just a clear glass jar with a strip of sticker showcasing the brand with a yellow screw-on top. No design, minimal colours. Plus point - NO ALCOHOL!

    6. Silky Girl Powder Blush in Dune Rose $9.90 $7.90 after X'Mas discount
I was getting tired of my current too-reddish fake MAC blush (says its Fashion Frenzy on the back) and wasn't patient enough for my NYX Spice to come so i grabbed this to console myself and put a stop to apple cheeks. I used to have this in Nectar Rose a long time ago, hit the pan and threw it away, so i thought to give Dune Rose a try this time round. Colour is more towards brown and peach undertones, and some makeup gurus claim it to be a surprising dupe for the pricey and oh-so holy NARS Orgasm.

    7. Maybelline Unstoppable Eyeliner in Black Onyx
    $9.90 $5.90 after X'Mas discount plus Watson's Member voucher!
Grabbed this on impulse coz I was tired of my ever so smudgey cheap pencil eyeliner from Aries. 'Elegance' brand i think? My current eyeliner glides on really well but smudges like crazyyy and gives me panda eyes in about 2 hours. So i bought this to try out, hopefully it will serve me well. And i got this at half the original price, so hell yeah.

I think you've probably figured out that I got everything from Watson's.
    GAHHHHHH.

My NYX order better come quick or I'll end up buying more stuff to soothe my itchy hands!

edited 22nd Nov: I got a Neutrogena lip moisturizer today at half it's original price $3.95. Boohoo i can't stop.

    Gasp.

I just realised my Clean and Clear Moisturizer has alcohol in it. And its pretty high on the list of ingredients on the back of the bottle.

    have. to. stop. using. it.

Coz I was reading up on some beauty forums, and apparently alcohol makes u age faster! I know if you drink alot, it will take a toll - I mean look at Lindsay Lohan.
Darn. Prolonged use of alcohol-based moisturizers, toners or masks is BAD. It's ok if it's a cleanser coz you'll wash it off. But toners, moisturizers and masks are stuff you put on ur face for a long time where you actually wait for the stuff to get absorbed into the skin.
    Shudder.

Now will have to look for another brand of moisturizer. And I've only used up to half my bottle! Sigh.

    Oh almost forgot.
    Heard of 'Naughty G' before?

It's an energy drink whose marketing strategy leans towards the obvious theme, "Sex Sells".
Pretty sure everyone has seen their provocative print ads at bustops or mobile ads decorating our public buses.

Bf and I tried it two days ago, he got the Original and I got the Green Tea flavour.
(don't ask why, but I'm in my healthfreak mode right now)

His version reminded me of sparkling water mixed with red bull infused with...mellowed herbs.
Didn't like it at all, I'm sticking to my pure-sugar red bull next time.

    Mine was interesting....
At first sip, you could taste the green tea flavour, but once at the back of your throat, it weirdly reminded me of Seasons' Peach Tea. Took me awhile to capture the flavour but I think peach tea pretty much sums it up.

But don't take my word for it, grab one and give it a try...maybe you'll like it afterall?
The Cola version sounds yummy though lol.

    FINALLY.

Helped a friend to bring in two lippies as well but I'm absorbing pretty much all of the shipping charges.
Tell me I'm a good friend? Yes I know I am lol.
Can't wait for my loot to arrive, hopefully everything goes smoothly and the stuff comes in pristine condition.

Now that I'v ordered, I'm kinda mellowed....coz my pocket is lighter by $150.

GAHHHHHHH I can't believe I splurged like crazy this month! So much for wanting to save up for March. Well there's always the other few months to come, but I would definitely feel better if I already had a ready stash you know?

-But I keep telling myself it's worth it-
    The Studio Finish Concealer was.
So were the couple of lingerie items i got from Cotton On Body. (Bf says they're really cute and pretty! :D)
And was the Maybelline Gel Liner.
The Travel Straightening Iron was impulsive but I just know it won't disappoint.

Couple of things i couldn't avoid like giving a couple of hundreds to my parents for the house bills....my mandatory insurance fee....the $70 to renew my passport...small things like stocking up the fridge at home and getting my little sister her shirt...

    Oh! Darn. -.-
I just remembered I bought a pair of black croc-like sandals from Flip Flop at Bukit Panjang Plaza this evening.

    Stuff I got today!

    1. Black-blue jeans tights from Hang Ten draped right at the back

I love this! Hard to believe I got it at Hang Ten, a shop that I wouldnt usually step in. Love the material and how it hugs the curvessss. $25 after 30% discount

    2. White and black striped bag with red lining center

Mummy gave this to me. Looks chic! She got it as a gift after getting some facial set at Plaza Singapura.

    3. Jose' Eber travel straightening iron front right

OH.MY.GOD. This wasn't even on my shopping list but as we were walking along GAP, this caucasian guy approached us and asked for a minute of our time, promising we won't regret it. He motioned me to seat in front of the mirror and started introducing a couple of hair irons on the ledge of the mirror. I groaned inwardly but being the polite girl I am (haha), I gave him his full minute. (He's the manager of the Vivo store btw, name is Omer. Go look for him, he's really nice!) He asked me if I wanted curling or straightening, and commented I would look great with curls so whaddaheck, curls it is. He started with only two curls at the front of my hair and it was so promising, i swear.

In 10mins, he did my whole head and softened the curls with a special brush. It was soooo prettyy! Very celebrity-ish! Omer went all out and gave us a good price ($139 instead of $149 he usually offers to everyone else for the curling iron, free travel straightener and the comb). This here is a lifetime warranty product you guys...and if you use the curling iron and find that you get tired of curls, you can exchange it for a straightener (full size) instead anytime! I was darn tempted to go overbudget and just splurge on the iron. But i managed to persuade myself to get it on next month's bonus instead. But bcoz Omer was so sweet and persuasive, I consoled myself with the travel straightener @ $49.

Look at the design on the box! Sweet!

Fast Fact on Jose' Eber *taken from wikipedia*
For more than four decades, José Eber, arguably the most recognized name in hair styling, has been in the vanguard of beauty. His flagship salon is in Beverly Hills, California. He has written two books, and created one video tape. On June 9, 2008, José was honored with the Global Salon Business Awards Lifetime Achievement award. His first celebrity client was Farrah Fawcett, followed by Cher, Jaclyn Smith, Elizabeth Taylor and the Who's Who of Hollywood. He created influential looks in the 70's, 80's and 90's. He remains a leading trend setter in hair and fashion.

    4. Wish Carebear

Bf got me a Wish Carebear today! To apologise for our previous fight and so that Secret Bear will have a friend to keep her company :) The Bears are now sitting on my bed holding hands!

    5. MAC Studio Finish Concealer in SPF35, NC30. $27

Ooohhhhh pretty! Got this after my ugh Cyber Colors Concealer Stick started to chip badly. Excellent coverage! I'm doubling this as an eye primer as well. Gonna be one of my regular makeup items, will definitely stick to this and replenish once it runs out!

How I wish I have a bottomless bank account. Shopping is my therapy to stress.

Day started out perfectly with a Long John breakfast. Had the Titan Chicken Sandwich Jr. which was hugee. Comes with chicken ham, chicken sausage and hashbrown sandiwched by two fat slices of LJ's toasted bread with a dash of tartar sauce. Definitely yums.

After breakfast while walking to the car, I noticed that the bottom of my white jeans were stained with icky mud! Tried to wash it off at the toilet but no use, white magnifies everything. So we randomly chose Vivo to spend the day, and bf suggested I get a new pair of jeans to change into.

Vivo was packedddd today! Saturday, duh? I chanced upon a pair of black-blue jeans-tights. I know, too many hyphens lol. But thats exactly how i would describe it -the material is black denim with hues of blue, but instead of a metal zipper and clasp, it has an elastic band and it accentuates your legs perfectly. Probably coz i got size S LOL!

Bf being the shopaholic he is, couldnt resist getting a pair of same coloured jeans and a pink tee. JUST COZ I WAS WEARING PINK.
(Story -> Before meeting him, I asked what colour I should wear, giving him a choice of green, grey and pink. He said, anything. So i just grabbed the pink coz ive been wearing way too many dresses and wanted to wear something out of my comfort zone. The pink was a button-up collared shirt.(see pictures) He turned up in green and got upset that our telepathy was short-circuited today. So he went home to change into his pink tee, just to realise it was being washed. He wore a black polo instead.)

So we became the pink couple even though Breast Awareness Month was in October. Ate at Secret Recipe before watching Hump Day at GV.

Irish Lamb Stew (me), Chicken Cordon Bleu (bf)
Had to try the award-winning stew after reading raves about it on blogs.
Ohwell, I didnt experience an orgasm. Mashed potatoes were mashed potatoes, liked the fact that there were pieces of carrots and onions in the stew to break monotony. Lamb meat was tender so it falls off the bone easily. I had a slightly larger lamb's foot(?) as compared to the lady beside my table but I couldn't finish the meat anyways coz I got full pretty quick. I didn't touch the fraction of fat on my foot coz I don't like the texture of animal fats fullstop. Dish kinda reminded me of the Beefsteak that my mum cooks at home lol!

Finished the meal by sharing an American Brownie with a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream.
Chocolate Heavenn! The brownie was the compact, sinful and heavy kind and the chocolate pond it sat on added even more guilt. Ice cream was predictable but helps to break through the heaviness of the chocolate. Bf and I didnt want to finish it coz we knew it would take days to work it all off.

    Hump Day. Is. Effing. Bad.
Don't watch it you guys. We sat in the theatre for 30mins, and when it became clear that the movie wasnt getting better, we left the cinema. Thats $20 wasted on a shitty gay movie. GRR.
Notice that bf has on 3 different shirts? White and green jacket (1st), Black Polo Tee (2nd), Pink Tee (3rd).
Will talk about stuff i got at Vivo in next post.

Let's just jump straight into it.

can't wait till the school holidays are here!
Not going overseas with friends this time round bcoz

    1. I'm drifting further apart from my Cheers colleagues
    2. Most teachers are so much older than me, it's hard to form a clique.
    3. The boyfriend used up all his leave.

so I would have to settle with the Cameron Highlands trip with my family in mid-December....and wait patiently for the March Holidays to come. Coz then ill be going to Bangkok and Phuket with the boyfriend for one whole week!
